Roof of the Arctic A walking expedition tour
What? Oh, you got cold feets and now you do not want to ride a classic bike
thru the landscape. Or how was it? Many peoples discover the mountains
while seated in the aircraft and were thinking that it`s a must to get on top
of one of them? Well, we understand this wish and we will gladly guide you
to the most exciting monutain cabin in Norway. We know the right place. We
named this tour after the highest mountain in the Arctic area, the Okstindan
mountain is beeing called “the roof of Northern Norway”.
This walking expedition requires proper mountain shoes, warm clothes, but
most of all it is important that you can manage to walk for three-four hours in
off-road conditions (most people can). It is important for ACC that you have
the best ecuipment for a walk like this, and if you do not have this by yourself
we will gladly help you to get this equipment here in Mo i Rana.
Duration: This tour is a one day tour, but is is also possible to stay up in this
mountain cabin the night over. An over night stay might give you a nature
contact wich is for few human beeings to experience.
